If you’re getting married in West Sussex you will quite easily find around 80 wedding venues worthy of consideration, so it goes without saying that the job of picking somewhere is going to be somewhat time consuming. However, if you’ve already made the decision to have a ‘barn’ wedding then this reduces your options to a manageable 15-20. Now that’s more like it!

From a photographer’s point of view photographing a barn wedding is always exciting because the barns tend to have characterful wooden structures that are often flooded with contrasting shards of light. It makes for a lovely backdrop to your wedding photos.

On the whole the barn venues have spacious green outside areas and quite often a pond or lake, another pleasing aspect for photographs. As night draws in, outside lighting can be found which transforms the scene giving it a warm, magical, twinkling vibe!

Some of the local barn wedding venues are:
Long Furlong Barn, Patching
Selden Barns, Patching
Fitzleroi Barn, Pulborough
Cissbury Barns, Findon
Brookfield Barn, Lower Beeding
Upwaltham Barns, Boxgrove
Prices can range from £400 to over £4000 with capacities between 30 and 250 so there is something for everyone, and every pocket.

If you’ve already booked your barn venue and are now looking for a wedding photographer please feel free to check out my offerings here. I’d be delighted to hear from you!
