Learning photography is personal to each of us...

For me, the one thing that I find I do way more than I ever used to do, is to look before I shoot. If I can't see the shot in my mind's eye then I don't take it. If I can't see the shot through the lens then I don't take it. Only when I think that I may have a photo do I take the shot.
